Description |
English: Air Vice-Marshal (later Air Chief Marshal) Sir Keith Park. This image was taken from http://history.howstuffworks.com/american-history/united-states-enacts-lend-lease-bill3.htm which did not provide source information for the image although the whole web page in which the image sat had the copyright notice "© 1998-2008 HowStuffWorks, Inc. © 2006-2008 Publications International, Ltd." However, as this image pre-dates 1998, it is beleived that it is not covered by the aforementioned copyright notice. In addition, a lower quality and cropped version of exactly the same photograph is available at http://www.rafweb.org/Biographies/Park.htm where it is marked as Crown Copyright. The fact that this image shown Park whilst he was on duty with the RAF, corroborates the Crown's Copyright. Therefore this Crown Copyright photograph is more than 50 years old and so is in the public domain.
