I'm a student at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. I'm in my last years studying towards a BSc in geology and geography. i hope to help out around here with some patchy knowledge and some real world experience.

i run a lot. well i did until i ruptured my Achilles tendon in December. so now i have some hours when i would be training that i can spend expanding my brain. or not as the case may be. i like to orienteer and ride my bike. i support green movements, and am currently participating in and Eco-challenge with my flatmates. i like composting and other naturally aesthetic things like that.

I'm an avid poet, though I'm a little stop start with it. Here's a quote from a JK Baxter poem about the Matukituki valley that i recently spent sometime in that i enjoyed. the full version can be found here[1]
