Talk:Silas Soule

[edit] Location of grave
A number of local sources say Soule was buried in Denver's Riverside Cemetery (Denver, Colorado) [1][2]; however, he died 11 years before the cemetery was established. Was he first buried somewhere else and then reinterred? Or was he buried on land near the South Platte River that was later incorporated into the cemetery? [edit] wanted to be a martyr? wanted to start the civil war?
---"When Soule explained the plans to Brown, Brown refused to be rescued, himself having developed a new plan to end slavery. Brown had decided to become a martyr for the abolitionist cause and allowed himself to be hanged, hoping his death would help bring on a war between north and south."--- did he really allow himself to be hanged for that reason, that he hoped he would become a martyr, and that he hoped his death would start a war? I dunno, I think I'd need specific references to believe that. 66.32.241.102 (talk) 23:20, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
