SHOOFtv is a Dubai-based media company, part of Arabian Television Network. SHOOFtv is 100% user generated content, with content coming from users all over the Middle East, making it the first of its kind in the region.
As well as being a cross media platform, SHOOFtv also hosts many competitions that encourage talented filmmakers. It gives participants the chance to enter their original videoclips to win various prizes and cash in selected categories. Winners are selected by a combination of a panel of judges and by public SMS voting.[1]

SHOOFtv was launched in April 2007 with an innovative competition that encouraged people to send in original short video clips for various prizes and cash up to AED 250,000.[2]
In the same year, SHOOFtv launched a competition during the holy month of Ramadan in which participants sent in Islamic video clips in which winners won cash prizes of up to AED 30,000.
Since then, SHOOFtv has introduced many competitions to encourage user generated content and been at events like Red Bull Flugtag, Awafi Festival in Ras Al Khaimah and the Dubai Media & Marketing Show.
