- Leyend: While bryozoans may be found growing on some species of crab for camouflage, the sheep crab (Loxorhynchus grandis) (shown here) does not use other organisms to mask its appearance. The sheep crab is another scavenging resident of the Sanctuary and can have a shell of up to 15.9 cm (6 inches) wide! A wide variety of crab species can be found from the inter tidal zone to depths of 150 meters (450 feet) in both sandy bottom and rocky reef habitats.
