Maybe we could make this a long thin template that runs across the bottom of the page, and just has the numbers i.e. 1 2 3 4 5 ... rather than repeating the word sonnet 154 times. What do you think? I'm happy to try to come up with something smaller if there's general agreement that it is worthwhile. Stumps 07:01, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

- Replacing the third <div> with <div class="NavContent"> enables the show/hide function, but adds unwanted whitespace (bluespace?) to the base of the box - not sure why, maybe someone can debug this? Also, I have to ask: does every sonnet need its own article? If not, shouldn't we restrict the template to those which do? 81.79.242.103 14:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New layout
I have redesigned this template at User:Chuq/Sandbox/Sonnets. The new layout makes the link to Shakespeare's sonnets larger - as I noticed some users were adding an unnecessary "See also" link to the article when the link was in the template on the following line - and improves the layout by having a grid of numbers rather than just a list of them. There are also small links to view/discuss/edit the template in the top right (v-d-e). I didn't overwrite the live template with the new design as I'm not really a regular editor of these pages and didn't want to step on peoples toes, but if there are no major complaints in the next day or so I will update it! -- Chuq (talk) 14:00, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

That's much better. I would also support less width and more height, if that makes sense. There's got to be a nice medium between the two. Not necessarily a square, but . . . Wrad 22:22, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be easier if there was a progression with previous and next buttons?
How about a link to wikisource? There's a page for every sonnet. So a link like this under all other sonnets: all sonnets. - Florrat 21:52, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
