[edit] Bigger and better

I am the WikiProject Shark founder, I have built up this stub to almost triple its size. I hope its better and more informative now. Lenny 08:30, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] confusion

this is a really badly written article - i am assuming the author's english is not up to scratch?

there are several sentences that do not make sense, and far too many spelling mistakes

when i have the time i may attempt a clean up of this article, however, it would be good if the author was to do this himself

I haved gone through the article and done a bit of editing, although i didn't have time to do a great deal. A lot of the former text were just statements (The trust is... The Trust does... etc.) that appeared to be from the website so i tried to put them into sentences a bit more. More work is needed though. chris_huh 23:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reason sharks need conserving

Previously the article mentioned that 100 million sharks are killed by humans each year. I replaced this with "the populations of some shark species have been reduced to 2% of their original levels". Both statements come from the Shark Trust website. I think the latter option is better because it's relative, not absolute—it's not immediately intuitive to me whether 100 million shark kills across the globe per year would be sustainable. --Adrian J.
