Quote from the article: Its spacious cargo compartment can accommodate out-sized cargo
This should definitely be quantified (and the current version sounds somewhat like advertisement...) - what is "out-sized"? 193.171.121.30 02:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- I made quite a few changes, the biggest of which involved deletion of the 'rumour' paragraph regarding a tenuous and unverifiable connection to the Hainan Island incident. I also deleted the sentence that referred to the 'spacious cargo compartment'. The order of some paragraphs was modified, for better flow. The majority of the changes were minor, actually, such as adding wiki links and modifying the dates to use the "year in aviation" syntax. This article definitely needs more verifiable citations, which I will try to find. Itsfullofstars 04:40, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
I deleted some of the article that it turns out was a copy/paste from sinodefence.com. Most of that content I removed was speculation anyway. The specifications section was expanded, but some numbers are still missing, and there are a few conversions from metric to imperial remaining to be done. Itsfullofstars 16:15, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- Added the AircraftProject template to this talk page. I'm still adding content to the article (including filling out the specifications page with more data), and tweaking the grammar. I've added references that can be used for adding citations (which are still disorganized). Itsfullofstars 20:51, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] KJ-200 or KJ-2000
The Article on the Shaanxi Y-8 claims that the June 3 2006 accident in China was a KJ-200 AWACS, based on the Y-8 airframe. The IL-76 article claims the same accident was a IL-76 based KJ-2000. It cannot be both.Hudicourt 16:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
It seems that the accident aircraft was the Y-8 based KJ-200[1]Hudicourt 18:42, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
