Shawn Jennings
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dr. Shawn Jennings was a family physician in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. In 1999, he suffered a massive brainstem stroke which left him unable to move anything but his eyes. He endured months of intensive physical therapy at the Stan Cassidy Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He eventually went on to become the author of the novel Locked in Locked out (2002, DreamCatcher Publishing). He spends his time between his new wheelchair accessible home and his cottage on the Saint John River. He still very much enjoys being outdoors, writing, and being with his wife Jill, children Colin, Beth, and Tara, and his dog "Maggie".
