Shawn Evans (b. April 28, 1986 in Peterborough, Ontario) is a lacrosse player for the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League. Evans' older brother Scott also plays for the Knighthawks and his oldest brother Stephen is the assistant coach for the Chicago Shamrocks also in the N.L.L. Shawn has been voted best Junior player 3 years in a row and has also earned the scoring title as many times. Evans won a Mann Cup with the Peterborough Lakers in 2004(when he played one game in the playoffs), 2006, and 2007. Evans is the only lacrosse player in history to win the Minto Cup (the Canadian Junior lacrosse title), the Mann Cup (the Canadian Senior lacrosse title), and the NLL Champions Cup (the National Lacrosse League championship) all within 12 months of each other. Evans is also the only lacrosse player in history to win 2 Minto Cups back to back (2006 & 2007) with 2 different Junior teams.
Evans played a year of NCAA Division I lacrosse at Bellarmine University in 2005. He was the leading freshman scorer that year totalling 53 goals and 21 assists for 74 points.
