Shannon James (born February 5, 1987 in Holland, Pennsylvania) is the Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 2007. Like Jillian Grace, who was Miss March 2005, James was brought to the attention of Howard Stern. One of Shannon's best friends, Lindsay Campbell, submitted several photographs of Shannon to the show, and Shannon was chosen to come in for an evaluation. She was then given the opportunity for a test shoot.
At the time of her photo shoot she attended the University of Central Florida and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.[1] James is now taking her classes online to her heavy modeling career.[2]
She is also a model for CollegeSlogans.com[citation needed]
James has also appeared on Hooters billboards, their calendar (She is the cover girl for May 2008.), and in the 2007 pageant as well. Since December 18, 2007, the Hooters website has been encouraging fans of the restaurant chain to vote for her for Playmate of the Year (She lost to Jayde Nicole, announced on May 9, 2008.).[3] Her ulitmate goal is to work for E! Daily News (now E! News Live) as an entertainment broadcaster.[2]
She is also a wall paper for the Hooters website that can be downloaded.
