Shane Higgs (born 13 May 1977 in Oxford) is an English professional footballer currently playing for for Coca Cola League One club Cheltenham Town. He plays in the position of a goalkeeper. He is the first choice goalkeeper at the Robins, having previously spent 4 seasons as understudy to Steve Book.
Previous clubs before joining Cheltenham include Worcester City and Bristol Rovers. He was a trainee at Bristol Rovers, then moved on a free transfer to Worcester City. Cheltenham purchased Higgs for a fee of £10,000 in 1999, making him one of the Robins longest serving players. Higgs has cemented a reputation as one of the top keepers outside the top two divisions with a series of fine displays as Cheltenham attempt to avoid the drop from League One.He Has Recently Been Linked With A Move To West Bromwich Albion
