Secor is a village in Woodford County, Illinois, United States. The population was 379 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Peoria, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Secor is a tiny community located just off U.S. Route 24 between El Paso and Eureka.

Its name is unusual because it commonly believed to be the abbreviation of another nearby geographical entity: Secor standing for the Southeast Corner of Roanoke. Roanoke is a slightly larger village approximately five miles (8.1 km) to the northwest.

However, Secor is an older village than Roanoke, so the myth is not true. It was actually named by Charles A. Secor, one of the builders of the Peoria and Oquawka Railroad.

Minnie Vautrin is from Secor. In the 1930s, she was attending college in Nanking, and witnessed the Japanese invasion of the city. She saved thousands of Chinese civilians, but later took her own life.

The movie, "the Fugitive" released in the early nineties, gives make-believe coordinates for the location of Richard Kimball. If those coordinates are placed on a map, they are right outside Secor.
