Sean Covey

Sean Covey (1964- ) was the starting quarterback for Brigham Young University during the 1987 and 1988 seasons.;[citation needed] He was benched due to an ankle sprain. He is the son of Stephen Covey and following his college football career wrote a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers. It is a book based on the principles of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, but directed towards the life of a teen. A more recent book he has written is The 6 Most Important Decisions You Will Ever Make. The book directs the six big choices teenagers will make in their teenage years. The six decisions are: School, Friends, Parents, Dating and Sex, Addictions, and Self Confidence.

Covey was born in Belfast, UK while his father was serving as president of the Irish mission. He grew up primarily in Provo, UT.[1]
Covey served an LDS Mission in South Africa which was where he was when BYU won its National Championship in 1984.[2]

Sean graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a degree in English and later earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Sean is currently Senior Vice President of Innovations and Products at FranklinCovey.

Sean married Rebecca Thatcher. They are the parents of five children.They currently live in the Rocky Mountains. [3]
