[edit] History

The band was formed in San Francisco in 1985 by frontman Ron Yocum and bassist Chris Schlosshardt. They had to play two different jobs occassionally for three years. During the early years of the group, they played shoulder to shoulder with bands like Dead Kennedys , Motorhead , the Ramones and The Cramps. They were signed to Chrysalis Records in December of 1987.

Kirk Hammett, the guitarist of Metallica, produced their first demos, and Ian Astbury of The Cult offered to produce their debut. Finally Mike Clink, who had just finished producing Guns N' Roses' Appetite For Destruction was enlisted by the group as producer. The first drummer was Lora McFarlane before Greg Langston took his post. McFarlane later joined Sleater-Kinney. The guitarist Frank Wilsey, was the last member to be added to training in November of 1988, just shortly before the band started to record their eponymous debut for Chrysalis with Clink. Kevin Russell (who had produced Ted Nugent's Penetrator) instead participated as additional guitar while Langston was replaced by Adam Maples. Before finishing the album, the band wrote the track "Night Under The Stars" for the movie "A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master".

The band then played in Britain in a tour in June 1989 the first to support Georgia Satellites a month. Frank Wilsey quit the group in October of 1989.

The group was dissolved in February 1990, apparently because of drug misuse of members and poor management. After the dissolution, Adam Maples worked as the drummer for a short period in 1990 for Guns N'Roses before Matt Sorum, outgoing by Johnny Crash subentrasse as drummer in the band drive. Unfortunately Chris Schlosshardt died of overdoses on February 1, 1991, and from that moment the band was officially dissolved. Frank Wilsey changed his name to Wilcox (and then Wilsex) and entered the band of the former vocalist of Ratt, Stephen Pearcy called Arcade and then in Nitronic.
