[edit] About me
I was born on January 7, 1987 in Miami, Florida. I moved to Portland, Oregon when I was ten, and then to Los Angeles, California seven years after that, to go to college. I am an alumni of USC, where I studied gerontology. I hope to enter veterinary school in Fall of 2010. I'm also a Bronze Level volunteer (Five years and/or 2000 hours) at OMSI; I've been volunteering in the Life Science Lab at the museum since May 2001. This summer I will begin work as an Americorps volunteer at OMSI--and I'm so excited! Love kayaking on the Willamette River, playing the piano and French horn, paddling on a Dragon boat team, and taking hikes in Tryon Creek State Park. I can't get enough of Voodoo Doughnut. I read a lot (especially during Portland's lengthy rainy season!); my personal favorites are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Their Eyes Were Watching God.
