[edit] Removal of Irrelevant Content
I just removed several sections/paragraphs on areas near, but not part of the Mall. They don't belong in this article. However, they would be good in an article on Scottsdale itself.
But this article isn't about Scottsdale, it's only a about a Mall that's located there.
I tagged this article to draw attention to what you are reading now. If anyone can justify restoring what I deleted, by all means do so, but as they were, they just did not seem relevant. --angrykeyboarder (a/k/a:Scott) (talk) 11:57, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Much of the region is heavily influenced by SFS and Waterfront and 5th Ave shops are often lumped together with the shopping mall. Scottsdale Fashion Square has become more of a shopping region term, used by the City of Scottsdale. A lot of old town Scottsdale is referred to as Fashion Square area (when referring to retail or dining.) Since almost all the recent development boom was ignited after the luxury boom at Fashion Square, its role and influence on these shops is irrefutable. The sections on Southbridge/Waterfront are definitely most relevant. Most tourists also know that, and companies such as Southwest and other travel companies liike AAA refer to the area as the Scottsdale FAshion Square shopping area. - But this article is still about a Shopping Mall and not a shopping district/region. --angrykeyboarder (a/k/a:Scott) (talk) 06:55, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
I removed retail stores that have no current plans, or have not signed a lease thus far. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.180.155.14 (talk) 22:09, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
