Scotty Emerick (born June 11, 1973 in Hollywood, Florida) is an American country music singer-songwriter, known primarily for his work with Toby Keith. In addition to penning several of Keith's singles, Emerick has also written for Sawyer Brown, George Strait and several other artists. His debut album, The Coast Is Clear, was issued in 2003; it produced two of his four chart singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

He is best known for his song-writing association with his friend, the country superstar Toby Keith. Amongst his co-writing credits are Toby Keith's number-one hits "I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight," the Willie Nelson duet "Beer for My Horses," "I Love This Bar," "Whiskey Girl," and "As Good As I Once Was." Emerick co-wrote nine songs on Keith's 2005 album Honkytonk University and ten of the twelve tracks on Keith's 2006 White Trash with Money album, including the singles "Get Drunk and Be Somebody" and "A Little Too Late." Emerick plays guitar and sings backing vocals on numerous Keith tracks and features prominently on Keith's "Bus Songs" including the "Taliban Song" and "Weed With Willie". Scotty won the 2004 About Country New Male Vocalist of The Year award.
Other songwriting credits include cuts by Willie Nelson, George Strait, and the band Sawyer Brown. Emerick won the 2004 Songwriter of the Year award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
As a recording artist, Emerick's debut album The Coast Is Clear was going to be released by DreamWorks Nashville. The album never materialized, however. The album's lead-off single, "I Can't Take You Anywhere", was previously recorded by Toby Keith. After the closure of DreamWorks' recording division, Scotty signed to Toby's label, Show Dog Nashville. According to R&R's Country Daily Update for September 21, 2006, Scotty has left Show Dog as well. The update did not state if Scotty had another label interested in signing him. He recently released a CD "Love Me Like My Dog Does." through BMI records. The CD can be found on CDbaby.com.
Emerick is a frequent co-performer on Toby Keith's national stadium and arena tours as well as on the entertainer's USO tours to US military bases in Germany, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf. He is also a graduate of Vero Beach High School, in Vero Beach, FL.
