Scott Taunton is an Australian businessman. Born in Canberra, he was general manager of DNA Internet until March 2000, when the company was acquired by Northern Ireland-based broadcaster UTV Media. He was appointed Managing Director of UTV Internet, which became one of the largest service providers throughout Ireland. In 2002, Taunton was appointed Business Development Director for the UTV Group, with specific responsibility for radio, covering radio interests in both the Republic of Ireland and the UK. He was later appointed Chief Executive Officer of UTV Radio (GB) following its acquisition by UTV Media in June 2005. He was appointed to the UTV Plc Board later that year.
