Scott Creek Middle School in Coquitlam, British Columbiais a Canadian middle school serving grades six to eight. The school opened in 1996.
Scott Creek Middle School is located at 1240 Lansdowne Drive, halfway between Port Moody and Coquitlam Centre. The school sports teams are all called the Scott Creek Coyotes. As of 2007, the current school principal is Ross Davidson, and the vice-principal is Frank Pearse. The school currently has approximately 700 students.
Scott Creek offers a full program of academics as well as a rich explorations program consisting of Visual Arts, Home Economics, Technology Education, Information Technology, Performing Arts and Physical Education.
The School recently completed their first ever 'Welcome Home Salmon' celebration. Students traced the path that the salmon take to return to Scott Creek to spawn, completed a "Stream of Dreams" project, had a traditional Salmon BBQ, and a traditional Native ceremony in an attempt to promote all community members to become ambassadors for the school name sake: Scott Creek!
During satudays, the school facilities are leased to Elite Education Centre, which offers lessons in Cantonese and Mandarin/Putonghua.
