[edit] sources, notability, etc.

Hello,

regarding your comment above: I did not put in the "sources" tag myself, but I think it may have been misunderstood. What this article requires is not so much sources to verify the accuracy of the content (that's the two books that are discussed, and they are cited). Rather, the article lacks secondary sources in order to make sure that the subject is notable.

Not every book is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. By the notability guideline for books, a book is notable if "it has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the book itself". These could be published reviews, for example. Another option would be that the book has won an award, or was boadcast on TV. See the guidelines for details.

You mention that one of the books has been made into a TV broadcast. This might well be a valid base for inclusion. Just cite that in a bit more detail. (When has it been broadcast, how long was the episode, etc.; it's not so much the book content but the out-of-universe content that matters.)

For the time being, I am replacing the “importance” tag with “notability”. I also replace the "sources" tag with a more appropriate one.

Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 16:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Saycheeseanddieagain.jpg

Image:Saycheeseanddieagain.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Plot Holes in TV Version

  • Sheri has no memory being trapped in camera-yet Spider is aware of being trapped in camera!
  • Sheri was only released from the camera when Greg tears up her photograph; yet when the two bullies find the camera and use it to take a photo, Spider appears behind them-yet the bullies had not torn up Spider's photograph! Likewise Sheri finds herself back where her picture had been taken; yet Spider does not appear on the steps where his photograph was taken! {Too bad there is not a twist ending where the two bullies accidently take their own photograph and end up trapped like Spider!}

[edit] Ryan Gosling?

Wasn't that him playing Greg in the episode? I'm pretty sure it was, and if it is, should it be in the Trivia? Ladder4321 20:53, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Seperation of Article

This article should be split into two seperate articles: One for "Say Cheese and Die", and another for "Say Cheese and Die Again". Just my two cents. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.11.58.206 (talk) 23:00, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
