Sarah-Jane Honeywell

Sarah-Jane Honeywell (born 1974 in Worksop[1], Nottinghamshire) is an English television presenter, who currently presents on the CBeebies television channel.
Honeywell is an enthusiastic vegetarian[2], and does charity work for the Dogs Trust[3][4]. Fairies being her website and personal symbol, she also has a fairy-wings tattoo[5].

In December 2006, Honeywell released a 5-track EP titled Love and Magic, on which she co-wrote and performed the songs[6]. The second track "Believe in Magic" was released as a single, and the music video was made at the annual Goose Fair in Nottingham, 2007[7]. A Sarah-Jane plush doll was released to coincide with the EP[8].

[edit] Early career
When Honeywell was young she went to dance school and gymnastics classes. She completed her education at Ordsall Hall School in 1990[citation needed]. At 18, she got her first job, working in Malta as a contortionist for three months[9], having trained with an acrobatic troupe[10] and being inspired after seeing the Great Kovaks in Doncaster[2]. At 19, she moved to London to play the part of a kitten in Cats, and from musical theatre moved into television.

Honeywell has acted in several leading children’s theatre productions including Peter Pan at Southend, Woking and Southampton, the 2005/06 CBEEBIES Live! National Arena Tour and The Fimbles National Tour 2006. She also appeared in Falstaff at the Royal Opera House, has played a wide range of characters in television dramas and commercials, and continues to do aerial work[11].
Following a Noddy touring show, Honeywell claimed that badly fitting boots had caused ligament injury leaving her unable to wear ballet shoes or high heels. This led to a substantial out-of-court settlement from Children's Showtime Productions[12].
