Salaam bin Said Al Shaksy

Salaam bin Said Al Shaksy (born Zanzibar in 1961) is currently the CEO of Dubai Islamic Investment Group [1] a subsidiary of Dubai Group, the CEO of Dubai Banking Group[2], and the CEO of Dubai Bank[3]. Al Shaksy has had over 20 years experience in finance, investments, treasury management, credit administration and financial control. A sought after keynote speaker at global financial conferences, he is the Chairman of the Board of ONIC Holding, Vice Chairman of Muscat Securities Market Board[4], Vice Chairman of Shell Oman Marketing Board[5], a Board member of Bank Islam[6][7], Bank Muscat [8], , Alliance Housing Bank, and Dubai First[9].
Al Shaksy graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon boarding school before attending Boston University, USA, where he received a bachelor's degree in Economics, a Masters in Management Information Systems and an MBA in Management of Financial Services[10]. He has also completed the Senior Executive Program London Business School[11].
Before joining Dubai Group, he was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bank Dhofar, Sultanate of Oman, where he lead its merger with Majan International Bank in 2002[12]. He was also head of a group comprising three divisions; retail banking, investment banking and correspondent banking at the National Bank of Oman. He was also the Head of Business Planning and Analysis for Citibank Global Consumer Business, United Arab Emirates[13].
