Russell Robinson, Jr. (born January 24, 1986) is an American college basketball player in the NCAA.

Russell Robinson was born to Thearesa Robinson and Russell Robinson, Sr. in the Bronx, New York. Russell attended Rice High School in New York City, where he was coached by Maurice Hicks. As a junior, he led his team with 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals per game. His senior year, he averaged 22 points and eight rebounds. During his senior year he was the New York Newsday Manhattan Player of the Year, a New York Daily News All-City Team selection, and a CHSAA All-City Team honoree. Known for his ability to score as a high school guard, Robinson wore the number 23. [1]

Russell Robinson is a senior point guard for University of Kansas Jayhawks. Known as a tenacious defender, Coach Bill Self often refers to Robinson as the "glue" of the Jayhawk basketball team. Robinson won a Big 12 Championship each of his four years at Kansas and was an integral part of the Jayhawks' 2008 championship team.
