Russell Packer is a New Zealand rugby league player for the New Zealand Warriors in the National Rugby League competition. His position of choice is Prop. He grew up playing for the Levin Lions and when he was 16 debuted for the Central Falcons in the Bartercard Cup. In 2007 he signed with the New Zealand Warriors but spent most of the season playing for the Auckland Lions. He made his NRL debut on the 4th of May 2008 against the Canberra Raiders. Prior to this he had been leading the Junior Warriors in the Toyota Cup.
