Rushcroft

Rushcroft is a locality in Shaw and Crompton in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. The village is located to the north west of Shaw town centre and is near High Crompton.
The area is sometimes split into two, Lower Rushcroft, which is at the bottom of the hill and Higher Rushcroft at the top. It is predominantly a residential suburb with some shops scattered across the area and a doctor's surgery, located at the top of the hill on Trent Road. Rushcroft also includes a primary school, Rushcroft Primary School, and a bus terminus, where First Manchester's 59 service from Manchester via Middleton, Oldham and Shaw terminates. Rushcroft is also served by Swans Travel 403 service, which is a local service serving various areas of Shaw and Crompton.
