Rowing competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing will be held from August 9 to August 17, at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park.

- Eights Men
- Double Sculls Lightweight Men
- Fours Lightweight Men
- Single Sculls Women
- Pairs Women
- Double Sculls Women
- Quadruple Sculls Women
- Eights Women
- Double Sculls Lightweight Women

An NOC may enter 1 boat in each event. The following numbers of crews are entitled to participate in the Olympic Regatta as follows:

* Olympic tripartite allocation has already been decided Iraq for the final two invitational places in the lightweight men's double scull or the open men's double scull - still to be determined.
Qualification timeline:
- July 19-21, 2007 : 2007 All-African Games (Algiers, ALG)
- August 26 - Sep 2, 2007 : 2007 World Rowing Championships (Munich, GER)
- November 16-18, 2007 : Latin America Olympic Qualification Regatta (Rio de Janeiro, BRA)*
- April 25-27, 2008 : Asian Olympic Qualification Regatta (Shanghai, CHN)
- June 15-18, 2008 : Final Olympic Qualification Regatta (Poznan, POL)**
* Open to NOCs that are members of Organización Deportiva Panamericana, with the exception of USA and Canada.
** Open to all NOCs except in the M1x, LM2x, W1x and LW2x events where the NOCs from Africa, Asia and Latin America are excluded.
