Rose Neill is a Northern Irish television newscaster, who is currently an anchor and presenter for BBC Newsline. She was educated at The Mount School, York in England, and at the City and East London College where she studied Optics.

Rose began her broadcasting career in 1977 for Ulster Television as a children's television presenter, and later moved to a role as a newscaster and continuity announcer at the station.

In 1985, Rose was invited to work for BBC Northern Ireland as a newsreader/anchor on its main evening bulletin Inside Ulster and its other news bulletins. Rose is presently the longest serving newsreader on BBC Northern Ireland, and continues to anchor news programmes for BBC Newsline, mainly for the Breakfast News Programme, the 22.30 main evening news, and some weekend bulletins.

Rose also contributes to many BBC Northern Ireland TV and radio shows including the Children in Need programmes. She also is involved with the NI Mother & Baby Appeal and she is the Honorary Patron of the the Ulster Cancer Foundation. Rose has just become chairman of Riding for the Disabled.

Rose's hobbies include riding, hunting, snow and water skiing, and she has travelled extensively from a very early age.

In 1995, Rose performed the Madonna song "Like a Virgin", after spinning the Big Rickety Wheel on BBC NI's PK Tonight series, hosted by Patrick Kielty.
