The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas (Latin: Archidioecesis Kansanopolitana in Kansas) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese in Kansas. The original diocese was formed on May 22, 1877 as the Diocese of Leavenworth. The Diocese was renamed Kansas City in Kansas on May 10, 1947 and elevated to archdiocese on August 9, 1952.
The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is part of a long line of diocese and vicariates covering the same area, namely:
- Vicariate Apostolic of Indian Territory East of the Rocky Mountains (1850–1857)
- Vicariate Apostolic of Kansas (1857–1877)
- Diocese of Leavenworth (1877–1891)
- Diocese of Kansas City, Kansas (1891–1897)
- Diocese of Leavenworth (1897–1947)
- Diocese of Kansas City in Kansas (1947–1952)
- Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas (1952—)
All of the former diocese were under the authority of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
