Román Fernando Martínez (born March 7, 1983 in Morón) is an Argentine football midfielder currently playing for Club Atlético Tigre.
Martínez started his playing career with his local club; Deportivo Morón in 2000, after several seasons playing in the Argentine 3rd division Martínez joined Arsenal de Sarandí of the Argentine Primera in 2003.
In 2006 Martínez stepped down a division to play for Tigre, but helped them secure promotion to the Primera in his first season with the club. The Apertura 2007 was Tigre's first season in the Primera since 1980, Martínez played in nearly all of Tigre's games games helping the club to finish in 2nd place, the highest league finish in their history.
