The Rokeby Bypass is a proposed re-alignment of a section of the South Arm Highway that would bypass the Hobart suburb of Rokeby[1]. The Clarence City council has proposed that a link Road be constructed, Starting in the area of the Rokeby Fire station and travelling to the east of the Current Highway to bypass the main CBD of Rokeby. The new Highway would connect to the existing road in the vicinity of the Police Academy. At present the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources does not support the proposed bypass, and instead would like to see the current road upgraded significantly.
