Rody Walker is the lead vocalist for Canadian mathcore band Protest the Hero. He is known for his broad vocal range, which is frequently in the higher registers, as well as incorporation of death growls and hardcore screams (especially on their latest album Fortress). He also wrote lyrics for the band's early releases, though bassist Arif Mirabdolbaghi has taken over that responsibility for their last two albums.
In interviews, he often expresses his views against record labels, saying they're run by businessmen rather than artists. He has encouraged fans to download Protest The Hero albums on several occasions, including one time during an MTV Live performance.
