As the Derwent enters the River Ouse above the Trent Falls it empties into the Ouse as this does not become the Humber until after the falls. It is the Hertford River which rises near Filey, not the Derwent. The Hertford is a tributary of the Derwent.(See British Ordnance Survey Maps.)Harkey Lodger 18:46, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

The natural history section is being used inappropriately by hoaxers, niether names mentioned have any online references. The spelling and punctuation suggest immature users, as do the edits. If anyone can verify the statements, please do. Does the problem persist? I was making some minor adjustments to the subtemplate that handles map display in the Geobox, you might've displayed the page at a moment I saved a buggy version. But it should be OK now in, tested in Opera 9, Firefox 2.0.something (both Win XP and Ubuntu) and IE-that-comes-with-XP. – Caroig 21:42, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The map image is now fixed.It was still causing a problem at 08-00GMT but has now "jumped back".I also emptied my cache. Thanks everyone.--Harkey Lodger 13:56, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

As the guidelines Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about rivers suggest starting lists etc. starting at the mouth, I am considering restructuring this article to have the text structured that way too. Any comments?--Harkey Lodger (talk) 18:28, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
