The Riverfront West Complex is an urban development in downtown Miami, Florida. The complex is located on the north bank of the Miami River in Miami's Central Business District. The complex contains two main towers, Mint at Riverfront and The Ivy at Riverfront. The taller of the two, Mint, is currently under construction. It is set to open in 2009. When completed, it will have 55 floors and rise 631 ft (192 m). The Ivy at Riverfront Tower has recently been topped off, and is awaiting its opening sometime in 2008. This tower is 512 ft (156 m) tall, and rises 45 floors. Riverfront West Phase III, a planned 45-story tower which will rise 533 ft (162 m), was approved in 2006 by the city council of Miami and the Federal Aviation Administration, is the third tower in the complex. Construction began in 2007 and the tower is expected to be complete in late 2008 or early 2009. The final phase of the development is Riverfront West Phase IV, a 334 ft (102 m), 22-story building which will be located to the west of the three towers. Construction is expected to begin on this in 2008. The Riverfront West Retail Center will connect the buildings at the lower floors and will be deditated to retail. The towers will be used for condominiums, apartments, and office space. The Miami Riverwalk and the Riverwalk Metro Station will be incorporated into the *development. The complex is bordered by Southwest 3rd Street to the north, the Miami River to the south, Southwest 1st Avenue to the east, and Southwest 4th Avenue to the west. The architect is Revuelta Vega Leon.
