River Falls Mall is a shopping center in Clarksville, Indiana, on Lewis and Clark Parkway (formerly State Road 131). From its opening in 1991 until 2006, the center was an enclosed mall, with 762,000-square-feet.[1] Currently, it is a power center.

River Falls Mall opened in 1991 as the last mall in the Louisville area, right across from the existing Green Tree Mall. Original anchors included Wal-Mart, Bacon's, All About Sports (later Dick's Sporting Goods), and Toys "Я" Us. The mall also featured a ten-screen movie theater, a food court, and a large amusement park, all of which were on an upper level. Later, Dillard's bought out Bacon's and moved some of their merchandise to the former Bacon's store, while retaining their women's department at their Green Tree Mall store across the street.
Initially more popular than Green Tree Mall with younger shoppers, River Falls Mall never achieved full occupancy and eventually started to decline due to the sheer number of younger (teenage) patrons and a declining tenant base. Green Tree Mall and River Falls Mall had considerable overlap of tenants — stores such as Waldenbooks, Hallmark and RadioShack could be found at both malls. River Falls, however, featured some stores, such as Express, that were not in Green Tree. The two malls were meant to act as ancillary malls — two shopping centers next to each other, each one targeting a different demographic.
Bass Pro Shops entered negotiations with Chicago-based mall owner General Growth Properties in 2002 to open a store at the mall. Negotiations were completed and construction on the Bass Pro Shops store was started in early 2004. Dillard's closed its store around this time, returning all of its departments to the Green Tree Mall location, as had been the case before the River Falls store opened. Soon afterward, the movie theater closed, and Wal-Mart moved out of the mall to a new Supercenter. Dick's Sporting Goods then moved out of the middle of the mall and into the former Wal-Mart. In 2005, Bass Pro Shops opened, displacing most of the mall itself.
Since the opening of Bass Pro Shops, the mall has been "de-malled", and turned into a power center consisting of big box stores. Recent openings include Old Time Pottery and Louisville Athletic Club, both of which displaced portions of the former Wal-Mart wing. A movie theater, Great Escape River Falls 12, opened in November 2006. Bigg's, a supermarket in the mall's parking lot, closed its 78,500 sq. ft. store in August 2006.
