This page contains lots of links for a totally commercial Brazilian site. I am new for here. How I do to it erase these links?

[edit] Some text explaining the Rainhas de Bateria
Can someone please add some text describing the Rainha de Bateria? There is something explaining the Rainha de Bandeira but nothing on the Rainha de Bateria. However there is a pic of a Rainha de Bateria so it looks out of place with no reason to be in the article (other than to point out that tere are naked women in the carnaval). Thanks. - Well, nudity isn't allowed at the carnaval apparently, so this woman (Viviane Castro - hey, is the Cuba job still going?) wore a 1.6 inch patch. That's 4 cm. And she didn't even win (in fact her samba group was relegated to a lower division for breaking the no-nudity rule). Perhaps a picture of the 2008 Beija Flor Rainha da Bateria (Raissa Oliveira) would be better? Totnesmartin (talk) 19:25, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, to be honest my wife would probably know more about this than I, she's the one from Brazil, not me. I do know that what Brazilians refer to as "nudity" we refer to as "full nudity". To people in the U.S. topless is nude. But I also know that carnaval is not about being nude,it's about the samba schools. In this context I support any pic of a Rainha da Bateria, the nudity is just something I think us US people get attached to. I'd like to find a couple more pics of the majesty of the parade rather than the nudity of it. Padillah (talk) 19:39, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly, the costumes are excellent and we need more of them. The fact that nudity breaks competition rules makes the photo a bit aberrant. By the way, I live in sunny Britain </sarcasm> and I don't know any Brazilians! And getting attached to nudity: this evening, finding out stuff for this article, It took me about a minute to find a name for the naked woman and about twelve times longer to find who actually won... - Where did you find this stuff? I can look with my wife tonight (well, it'll be tonight here) and she can help me look for stuff on the Brazilian pages. But when I tried to find anything on this pic I couldn't find anything. Supposedly this is from "Canaval 2008" so I googled that but came up with very little. I'll look harder tonight but I'm surprised at the effectivness of your search. Oh, and you misspelled "nowiki" so your nowiki tag doesn't end correctly. - Nowiki fixed. The pictures are from the samba school article and individual samba school articles in the English and Portuguese pages. Information about Viviane Castro is from news sites. Do you think there should be a Rainha da bateria article? Totnesmartin (talk) 22:20, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Rainha da Bateria translates to Queen of the Band. This Woman represents the band and she dances in front of the band section to anounce that the band is coming. This is a position of prestige and is given to girls that have been in the Samba school for many years or famous girls that accept the invitation.
