Richard Lowry

Rico "Richard" Lowry (born August 24, 1964) is an American film director. Richard was born in Moline, Illinois, and now resides in Los Angeles, California. Richard, alongside his younger brother Tor Lowry, has been creating independent movies for the world market for over twenty years.[1] Richard has worked with actor Blane Wheatley, and actress/model Kimberly Page, which all three worked together in Monarch of the Moon.

Richard and Tor's first movie, Hawk Jones, features an all-child cast.
The Looking Glass has finished production, but has yet to be released due to "unresolved creative differences" between Richard and a co-producer.
Derek McCaw of FanboyPlanet.com published an article on Monarch of The Moon, which claims that the film was originally shot shortly after World War II by a Lt. Alaster Galloway.[2] This claim of course is false, due to use of present day actors. Travis Liberty, a self-described film historian and documentary filmmaker, claims to have found the lost footage dating back to 1945. Travis Liberty is actually a fictional character created by Chris Patton as part of a hoax for Destination: Mars. McCaw agreed to promote the Monarch of the Moon hoax.
On IMDB, Richard will sometimes be credited as Rico Lowry, as this is his real birth name. Such examples are The Wicksboro Incident, and Monarch of the Moon. Although he is credited as Richard Lowry on both ending credits of both films.
White Lies' entire production only cost $50[3].
Monarch of the Moon was officially released to the open public on December 26, 2006. It has been released with another production, Destination: Mars, that is not listed on Richard's Filmography.
