[edit] A M. Khan

  • Code letter: not provided

Repeated POV entries in Article Marwat by the above sock puppets that I could identify. Request to check this and stop the User:A M. Khan (who was earlier on banned as well by User:The JPS) from vandalising several other articles and using abusive language. Marwatt 14:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Additional information needed Please provide evidence of sockpuppetry in the form of diffs. Dmcdevit·t 02:40, 7 November 2006 (UTC) Applicant notified at 07:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC). [1] -- Daniel.Bryant T · C ]

Specific Examples of User:A M. Khan's sock puppetry

Following are some of the examples (I repeat some of the examples) of sock puppetry that I could locate. The whole episode revolves around a father Khan Habibullah Khan and his two sons viz. Anwar Kamal Khan and Akhtar Munir Khan. These three people are from a sub clan of Marwat known as Mina Khel. The User:A M. Khan has been trying his best directly through his own POV edits (running into hundreds) to the main article on Marwat and indirectly through his following sock puppets to push his specific POV. In the process he has repeatedly vandalized the above articles. One of the articles on Akhtar Munir Marwat was created twice but was deleted after consensus Check the deletion log over here. Some of the other specific examples of all of these sock puppets are as following. Please also note the fact that these other user accounts have been created for a specific reason and therefore, their activity is only limited to some inter related articles. Even (idiomatically saying) a blind person could see the link between their edits. They have been active for a specific period and for a specific purpose.

User:A M. Khan

The main user account in this whole drama. I won't go into the details of his blatant vandalization of main article on Marwat but I can quote some examples as following.

  1. Pushing POV for a blocked redirect article on Mina Khel once again
  2. Vandalizes the article on Marwat and adds his POV entry on Akhtar Munir Marwat
  3. after vandalizing the article once again the user invites another editor to chat with him on MSN
  4. Uses abusive language (reference to pennis as a stick) against another editor

User:Lakki Marwat

The User Account was created on November 3, 2006 and had tried to push a specific POV on the following inter related articles only.

  1. Under the heading "Total Disagreement" (Trying to Push the POV initiated by User:A M. Khan and other sock puppets
  2. a Proof of personal enmity against a specific individual and vandalism
  3. a Proof of POV pushing (a claim that was earlier on inserted several times by other sock puppets and has never been confirmed though I requested repeatedly for the same
  4. An edit to a POV article on Mina Khel which was eventually blocked from recreation by USer:Shell Kinney and is now permanently redirected to the parent article
  5. A redirect created for one of the above inter related articles
  6. Making plea to an Advocate on behalf of other sock puppets against me
  7. Pleading the case of User:A M. Khan on the talk page of an administrator User:The JPS which is a glaring example of sock puppetry

User:Ghazni Khel

This user Account was created on September 9, 2006. Some of the examples of sock puppetry and vandalism are following.

  1. The First edit that the user account does on Wikipedia is focused on article Marwat. Please look at the remarks on the top
  2. Immediately reverts his own edit and vandalizes the article so as to push the POV of USer:A M. Khan afterwards
  3. [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Akhter_Munir_Marwat&diff=prev&oldid=74708864| Inserts a strong appeal on behalf of User:A M. Khan on the AFD page of Akhtar Munir Marwat
  4. Vandalizes the original article on Marwat and tries to appear as a neutral mediator (Please look at the interesting comments on top)

User:Begukhel

The user Account was created on October 31st, 2006. Some of the examples of sock puppetry and vandalism are following.

  1. Defends the vandalism of User:A M. Khan as a 3rd party
  2. Vandalizes the article on Salim Saifullah Khan as a retaliation
  3. Totally destroys the article with graffiti and the same was later on reverted by another editor

IP Address 203.175.64.10

Please note that apparently this is the main IP address from which User:A M. Khan logs on. This IP address has been equally involved in vandalizing and sock puppetry in the above mentioned articles.

  1. Removes the Disputed Tags from this article and adds specific POV]
  2. Pushes a POV entry in the article on Anwar Kamal Khan and never provides a credible proof of this claim]
  3. [Requests the administrator to unblock him for his earlier usage of abusive language

IP Address 210.56.14.139

This one of the other IP addresses, supposedly used by User:A M. Khan

  1. Vandalizes the article Marwat and comments on top "What the hell"
  2. Vandalizes the article on Marwat and pushes the POV in his very interesting comments on the top
The accounts are all Unrelated and I'll need much more specific evidence of abuse by the IPs (eg 3RR evasion) before I give them away. Dmcdevit·t 00:05, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
