I considered it best to archive some talk about season 2 due to spoilers. See the archive box on the right. --jibun≈παντα ρει≈ (keskustele!) 10:59, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The lead protagonist's name — or why I just reverted User:Nftrot's edit
It's pretty clear that David Sandström prefers to spell his surname with the umlaut 'ö' and not with the plain English/Latin character 'o'. One particular example can be seen on the fourth episode of the second season ("Dim & Dimmer"), where the subway dweller Owen rummages thru David's belongings and finds his NorBAC business card which shows the original Swedish spelling. This fact is hardly surprising considering his father is a first generation immigrant from Sweden, and Canada being officially bilingual with French and all it is bound to be more tolerant than other "anglo-saxon" countries to proper names with "funny" diacritics. Just to say that there is more than A-Z in the alphabet nowadays, especially when one considers people's names. —jibun≈παντα ρει≈ (keskustele!) 08:15, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Major overhaul
Season 3 has just ended and this article hasn't been updated (by anyone but me, looking at it) since the end of season 2. I've restructured it in a number of ways:
- A whole lot of Recurring Characters have been removed. If they haven't been seen since season 1, or died after only an episode of two, there is really no point in mentioning them. The three I've left should be rewritten in a style that makes sense.
- Cleared up the Main Characters list. Included the characters' nationalities, as that is part of the central premise of the series.
- Moved relevant info to Interactive & Other Media, because it's not about the show per se.
- Added International Broadcast info table. 203.229.111.196 15:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- While there are probably some recurring characters that should be removed, I think there are a few that are missing. Mainly Lilith and Cal. The reasoning behind the inclusion of Lilith was she was a very predominant character throughout season one, and has been mentioned numerous time in season 2 and 3. While she may no longer appear she is a character he keeps coming up. Not only that, she has appeared at least as many (if not more) episodes as Owen has, yet he "remains" a recurring character As for Cal, while he has not appeared since season one, he still was a very key element to that season. This article is about ReGenesis on a whole, not just the most recent season - and these two characters we incredibly important to Season 1. Also, Caroline Morrison and Jill should be moved back into Main Characters. While Caroline is now dead - she was the Norbac Exec. Director and appeared in every epsisode of season 1 and 2 - certainly enough to denote a main character. As for Jill, she also played a key role in season 1 and 2 and even made an apperance in season 3. While I guess you could still consider her a "recurring" character I still feel she denotes a Main Character. Remember, this is an article about the series as a whole, not the most recent season. If you don't want to do the changes yourself I'd be glad to. Cheers. :: ehmjay 19:39, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Areas needing improvement
- A better description of the show, beyond what NORbac is and what little has been said of the Sanstrom character.
- An explanation or acknowledgement of (spoiler) the event between Season 2 and 3, which killed off Caroline Morrison snd left Mayko an amputee. 203.229.111.196 15:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
This really needs a better explanation of what this show is about. Someone mentioned it on a website so I looked it up and after reading this I've still no real idea what this show is about. Is it like the X-Files? Is it a reality show with some fictinalized narrative background? I have no idea. --74.129.228.234 (talk) 19:06, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, what it is is a show like CSI, where scientists try to solve problems. Unlike CSI the scientists work in a lab designed to protect the society from epidemics and pandemics of diseases and also the fact that the scientific consultant obviously knows more about science than the one in CSI (i.e. you won't see anyone centrifuge something to separate to phases and then vortex it shortly afterwards). Something like that. Winterbay (talk) 17:03, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Areas needing to be updated
The show has now finished it's final season, so it should be reflected in the content of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.184.188.252 (talk) 02:31, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Has there been an official announcement about the status of the series? The season 4 finale left a lot of threads hanging; I'd be surprised if it didn't come back for a fifth season. Spaced1999 (talk) 13:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
