I teach in the History and Philosophy Department at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA. My areas of specialty include the history of technology, transportation (railroads, interurbans, and automobiles), the Progressive Era engineering profession, Progressive Era educational reforms, and US museums of Science and Industry.
My Ph.D is from Case Western Reserve University's program in the History of Science, Technology, Environment, and Medicine.
I teach courses on US History, the Twentieth Century, and the History of the Automobile Industry. I am also experimenting with ways to use Wikipedia for course assignments for my students.
I also occasionally edit on the STS Wiki, the Wiki for Science, Technology, and Society studies.

For those of you who are interested in the Wikipedia Lectures, VPRO (Dutch Television) has produced a documentary called "The Truth about Wikipedia." It has both Larry Sanger and Andrew Keen interviewed as well as Jimbo Wales and others. It is very engaging and summarizes the main ideas that the EMU community has been discussing over the past three months through the CAS Lecture Series.
