HH Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum (Arabic: الشيخ راشد بن محمد آل مكتوم) was born on 12 November 1981. He is the oldest son of UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
He was educated in Dubai at Rashid School for Boys and then attended Sandhurst Military Academy in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2002.
Sheikh Rashid participated in many local and international endurance races and won many medals. His greatest achievement was winning a golden medal in the 2006 Doha Asian Olympics Endurance race in the individual results.
Sheikh Rashid organizes an international football championship that holds his name every year in the holy month of Ramadan.
