Ramon Tulfo

Ramon "Mon" Tulfo is a TV host, radio broadcaster and columnist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Tulfo is one of the hosts of Isumbong Mo! (Tulfo Brothers), a public service program on RPN. He shares hosting chores with siblings Raffy and Erwin. In the hour-long show, he and his brothers tackle complaints filed against government officials, policemen and community problems.

On July 16, 2007, QC Regional Trial Court Branch 83 Presiding Judge Ralph Lee dismissed the libel case filed by First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike" Arroyo against the 3 controversial Tulfo brothers, media personalities Ramon, Erwin and Raffy Tulfo, based on the affidavit of Arroyo. The desistance came after Arroyo had survived a triple heart bypass last May, having forgiven all those whom he accused of libel. Arroyo had earlier accused the Tulfo brothers of having issued libelous statements in a press conference on August 2, 2006 in a QC restaurant where the brothers said that Arroyo had a hand in the cancellation of their program "Isumbong Mo" (Tulfo Brothers) aired over government television network RPN Channel 9 and engaged in an illicit relationship with a certain Vicky Toh.^[1] Vicky and her brother were allegedly involved in smuggling activities,^[2][3] which Ramon Tulfo revealed in his column. This, and Mr. Arroyo's alleged link to Ms. Toh, Ramon claimed, was the real reason Mr. Arroyo broke off his friendship with Ramon and began attacking him instead.^[4][5][6][7]

In his column, Tulfo has alleged that he has repeatedly been harassed, and even threatened with death, by Arroyo, though indirectly via the Philippine National Police, military and National Bureau of Investigation,^[8] while his businessmen-friends were harassed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.^[9]
