I'm back, and looking at some of the sorts of contributions I made three years ago, I'm grimacing. I'll try to pay more attention to: 1. Verifibility, 2. Typos, and 3. POV/Weasel words this time around.
Very often something that seems reasonable when I write it seems less so when issues are pointed out to me, so, don't hesitate to point out points of argument on my talk page.
My particular areas of interest and hence areas of likely contribution relate to:
- Western Massachusetts, and New England in general
- Linguistics and language articles. I hope to expand a number of stubs and icnomplete articles into full grammars based on what I find elsewhere.
- Aviculture and birds in general.
- United States and Latin American history.
- Psychology (Though I'll avoid do more than corrcting blatant errors or omissions) particularly relating to neurotypes such as Asperger's Syndrome.
- Literature, particularly Fantasy, Alternate History, some classic science fiction (H. G. Wells, George Orwell, Jules Verne), history (particularly primary sources), and plays. I do think that William Shakespeare is a great writer, at least so far as his tragedies are concerned, and enjoyed Christopher Marlowe's plays.
I'm 17 (18 in July), male and Aspie (for lack of a better adjective).
As for biases to look out for (I try to check myself but I do have some issues with this):
- It really drives me nuts seeing Asperger's Syndrome called a disorder.
- I'm a radical on individual issues, probably closest to environmentalist minimal statist libertarianism but eh, point is that I have strong biases on almost every issue even if it's just that it's an idiotic thing to debate.
- I really hate revisionist history, both of the sort where the loser is exonerated and the sort where the winner is glorified.
- While terrible grammar annoys me, I hate grammar Naziism. Misuse of apostrophes (or "apostrophe's" as would now be the vogue) and confusion of homonyms really irks me, but languages evolve. Clearly if you're style work's two misuse these things and your knot confuse by it then I could care less. Languages evolve, and when people stop making a distinction then it has outlives its usefulness.
- I'm very proud of Western Massachusetts, my homeland, and am more nationalistic than a Texan about it.
- I'm sure you'll see more, hopeully I've gotten better about stating things neutrally over the past three years though.

Puedo hablar español bastante bien. No tengo mucho dificultad para leer ni escribir español, solo para hablarlo. Espero que yo tranduzca información de la Wikipedia castellano y de textos originales entre inglés cuando tengo tiempo para hacerlo.
Puedo leer asturianu, fabla, y galego, poque son muy similar a castellano. No puedo leer portugues, ni catala, ni italiano porque las ortografías son demasiado diferente (pues, puedo poquito, pero con dificultad).
I can read Asturian, Aragonese, and Galician because they're very close to Castillian. I cannot read Portuguese, nor Catalan, nor Italian because the orthography is too dissimilar(well, I can puzzle bits out, but with difficulty).
