Queenhithe[2] is a ward of the City of London and is named for the former Queens Dock[3]. The ward is found between the boundary formed by the River Thames, Queen Victoria Street, Queens Quay and the City of London School[4].
The Painters and Stainers Hall is located in the ward together with the refurbished headquarters of the Salvation Army.
The Welsh church, St Benet Paul's Wharf, is in the north west corner of the ward. Two former churches, St Michael Queenhithe and St Mary Somerset historically were situated within the ward.
