Quaristice is Autechre's ninth album on Warp Records. It was made available for download via bleep.com in FLAC and MP3 format on January 29, 2008. It received a physical release on March 3, 2008.^[1] In an interview, Sean Booth said "the actual product is the FLAC file – but I don't object to those who want to own something that they can hold."^[2]

It was also released as a 2-CD set with alternate versions of 11 tracks on a second 68-minute CD. The casing is a photo-etched, steel case and the release was limited to 1000 copies.^[3][4] The limited edition sold out within 12 hours of being announced.^[5] The online shopping site Amazon claimed to have copies after they were sold out, but did not obtain any, as none were dispatched to customers.

The artwork for this album was created by The Designers Republic.
