[edit] Features

Qtopia features:

Qtopia is dual licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and proprietary licenses.

[edit] Devices and deployment

Qtopia is shipped on over 45 models of handheld devices, including 11 mobile phone models and 30 other devices (as of 2006). Several million devices are running Qtopia.[1]

Models include Sharp Corporation Zaurus line of Linux handhelds, the Sony mylo, the Archos Portable Media Assistant (PMA430) (a multimedia device), the Gamepark Holdings GP2X, Greenphone (an open phone initiative), the OpenMoko open phone, the First International Computer (FIC) Neo 1973 and Pocket PC. An unofficial hack allows its use on the Archos wifi series of PMPs (604, 605, 705).

Qtopia Phone Edition is expected to start shipping on various smartphones, similar to GPE Phone Edition.

[edit] Software development

Native applications can be developed and compiled using the C or C++ languages[1]. Managed applications can be developed in Java.
