Thank you for visiting my page. I have created this account because of previous experience with my other account. Editing a controversial subject can invite personal attacks. This account is my Wiki Firewall, allowable as per:-
Keeping heated issues in one small area
Some editors use different accounts in talk pages to avoid conflicts about a particular area of interest turning into conflicts based upon user identity and personal attacks elsewhere, or to avoid harassment outside of Wikipedia. A person participating in a discussion of an article about abortion, for example, might not want to allow other participants an opportunity to extend that discussion or engage them in unrelated or philosophically motivated debate outside the context of that article.
If you want to edit a "hot" or controversial subject you may use a sock puppet so long as you do not use any other account to edit the same subject or make it appear that multiple people support the same action.
[edit] Cornish Stannary Parliament vs English Heritage
In my opinion, an attempt is being made to publicise a political protest using Wikipedia. A section about a protest has been added to many articles with a one sided view, even to the extent of giving a campaign slogan. My objection is the use of Wikipedia as a soapbox, highlighted by the same paragraph appearing in all Cornwall located English Heritage articles, with an overemphasis on the importance of the protest in relation to the rest of the article. Some articles have one line about the property, and a large section on the protest.
I would point out that I sympathise with the protest. My ancestry is from that area, and it is with some pride that I claim to descend from the ancient people who first lived on this island.
