[edit] Blacklisted web site
I had to erase your blacklisted spamlink from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Blu-ray_Disc in order to make the page actually usable. You had previously added a link to some page on emedialive which is totally B& from wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zaphraud (talk • contribs) 16:13, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I was not aware of this Wikimedia Spam Blacklist or of emedialive's status as a spammer. Pugetbill (talk) 18:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image question
Why did you replace Image:Tonin'.jpg with Image:Tonin ManhattanTransfer.jpg - it's not a cropped or altered image from the one that was on the page? In fact, it's the same size (pixel &KB). If there's a different /cropped one that you wanted to put up, this wasn't it. SkierRMH (talk) 16:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed a few weeks ago that most of the Manhattan Transfer album covers in wikipedia articles were uncropped versions taken from (presumably) Amazon.com - this left large white borders around the edges when displayed in wikipedia infoboxes. I uploaded cropped versions of these album covers for several of the albums and this improved (I think) the display of the images in the infoboxes. Only one image gave me trouble. The Image:Tonin'.jpg page showed the full size (303 x 301) / properly cropped image of the album cover (that I updated a week or so ago), but the infobox for the article Tonin' still displayed the original (uncropped) image. I thought it would "fix itself" eventually but a week later it was still displaying the uncropped image in the infobox (despite the fact that when you clicked through to the Image:Tonin'.jpg page - it showed the cropped image correctly). I suspected that the apostrophe in the image filename might somehow be causing some problem so I re-uploaded the cropped image under a new name Image:Tonin_ManhattanTransfer.jpg and changed the image filename in the infobox accordingly. This seems to have worked as the infobox now displays the cover properly. If you like, you can revert the infobox to reference the original image Image:Tonin'.jpg and see if that displays properly now. I know it was not displaying the correct (cropped) image before. I have uploaded re-cropped images for several other album covers in the past but never saw this strange behavior before.Pugetbill (talk) 17:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
