Puerto Rico Olympic Committee

The Puerto Rico Olympic Committee (PROC) is the organization entrusted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) with managing the Olympic franchise that the United States territory of Puerto Rico has had since the 1948 Olympic Summer Games held in London, England.
The PROC operates two major facilities, the Casa Olímpica headquarters building in Old San Juan and the Albergue Olímpico Olympic training facilities located in Salinas, Puerto Rico.
The PROC has sent teams to every Summer Games since 1948, including the controversial games in Moscow in 1980, despite the boycott by the United States called for by President Jimmy Carter.
Currently headed by Héctor Cardona, the PROC has been chaired in the past by Germán Rieckehoff, whose remains are buried at the Albergue Olímpico and José Enrique Arrarás, among others.
