Prunus sargentii; Sargent's cherry, in Japan known as Ezo mountain cherry (エゾヤマザクラ ezo-yama-zakura?) and big mountain cherry (オオヤマザクラ Ō-yama-zakura?) is a species of cherry native to Japan, Korea, and Sakhalin (Russia). [1]
The tree was named for Charles Sprague Sargent [2]
